Where do you offer your treatments?

Treatments are held in the comfort of your own home within a 5 mile radius of Whitstable or at Pure in Whitstable

How will I feel after a treatment?

The treatment is likely to leave you feeling very relaxed. You will need to drink plenty of water during the following 24-48 hours. You may feel tired or some people report a feeling of more energy, and you will hopefully enjoy a deep relaxing sleep that night.

Are there any times when it would be inadvisable to have a treatment?

Yes, there are conditions where is would be inadvisable, that is why it is important that a consultation is carried out before commencing treatment. If you are currently taking medication or have a long term medical condition if may be necessary to check with your GP before starting treatment. If you are in any doubt, please call or email me for advice.

Can I have Treatments if I am pregnant?

It is not recommended to have any treatments during the first trimester (12 weeks), If you plan on treatments after it may be worth checking with your midwife or health care professional to see if there is any reason why it would be unadvisable in your particular case. There are many benefits to having treatments whilst pregnant. Reflexology can help with back pain, constipation, heartburn, nausea, water retention and fatigue.

I have ticklish feet! Will Reflexology or Thai Foot massage be suitable for me?

You will not be tickled as the pressure is quite firm for these treatments, however you are welcome to have a “taster” session for your own peace of mind, these are 20 minute sessions for £15

How many sessions will I need and how frequent?

Each person is different, but usually a course of Reflexology is helpful once a week for between 4-6 weeks to be able to note any benefits you are receiving. Treatments are usually then spaced out to a more affordable balance. Other treatments are on an individual basis, but many people have massage weekly, fortnightly or monthly to keep things at bay.

Is it OK to have a treatment if I am seeing another Therapist?

Some therapies work very well together, but others cause conflict, if you are already under another therapist, please check with them.

What should I wear for a Traditional Thai massage?

You should wear loose, comfortable clothing, or if you are having a Herbal compress, please wear a vest top or loose tshirt (please note a slight yellowing can occur on your clothing), and I will provide you with “Fishermans Pants”

What do I need to bring to a class?

Please wear loose comfy clothing, Yoga and Pilates classes are performed bare foot, if you have a mat please bring, and if you require one to borrow, please advise me before attending class. If you are coming to a Fitness class such as Circuits, you will also need trainers or suitable foot wear.

Yoga and Pilates classes

Once you have made your booking, the place/places are held for you and are non-refundable or transferable. Please do not request a transfer if you are unwell or unexpectedly unable to attend. The only exception is in circumstances such as admission to hospital in which case you need to let your teacher know as soon as possible. If you have an unpredictable work schedule and might miss some classes, it may be better to book single classes rather than a discounted block.

If you have to miss a booked class there are some options

  1. You may attend a different class in the same block only with the same teacher. (Subject to availability.)
  2. You are welcome to sell your booking to a friend and have them turn up in your place on the day. Please inform the teacher so that they can send out the relevant links to forms etc.
  3. You can also bring a friend along with you to the next class, who can pay you instead of us, to make up for the missed class fee (one class only and please inform your teacher – subject to availability).
